Lots of mistakes, many more successes. Professionally life has been very rewarding. I always wanted to be a teacher and was able to do just that during my eight years in the Air Force, fifteen years in law enforcement and 17 years teaching at Western Oregon University. My PhD and being awarded Emeritus status are my most satisfying professional accomplishments.
Personally, my great pride is being married to Nancy and having a wonderful son and daughter-in-law and our grandchildren and great-grandson. My goal of being a “farmer” is realized. I am very glad we do not have to depend on farming for a living. We have a wonderful home and great friends. Life could not be better.
