Nancy at our 50th Reunion |
Retired from Salem-Keizer School District Administrative Assistant in 2003 after 28.5 years in various clerical positions.
Attended University of Oregon, married Jim Ramsden (class of 62 South Salem). Have lived in Salem most of our married life with children graduating from Sprague HS. All of us are Duck fans and attend some football games.
Jim and I keep busy with our classic cars (65 Mustang GT Fastback, 66 Mustang Convertible) and car club activities. We travel to car events throughout Oregon, Washington, Vancouver BC, Nevada, Montana. One trip started in Salem to Great Falls, Montana for the International Mustang Show then on into Glacier National Park, Banff and Lake Louise and back to Salem for nearly 3,000 miles. A future event is to caravan with other Mustangs to Las Vegas for the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang with lots of events and car shows.
Interests that keep me busy are: quilting (pieced, applique, hand quilting and freehand machine quilting), counted cross-stitch, gardening, reading, watching Nascar races (went to a race in Las Vegas), bowling in a senior league with a 170 average, collecting Christmas ornaments and Dept. 56 Village pieces and decorating for Christmas with two 8 foot trees and two villages. Yes, I like Christmas and so do the grandchildren. There never seems to be enough hours in the day and it seems impossible to have children that are in their 40s!! Life is good and we are enjoying retirement. You may see me cruising around Salem in our 2011 California Special Mustang!
