After high school, I married Lyle Grossman, and we had our two daughters, Lisa and Debbie.
I first worked for the state highway department, as it was called then, ODOT, now. After several years there, I decided to go to college, and began at Chemeketa, and then transferred to Willamette, graduating with a BS degree in English and art.
I have worked primarily in the legal field, which included Willamette
College of Law, state legislatures, and several local Salem attorneys. I also have voluntered teaching elementary education at private schools in Salem and in Hilo, Hawaii while Debbie was attending the U of Hawaii at Hilo.
I have stayed in Salem all these years to be close to my family, so I guess you could call me a "home girl"!
I really enjoy my retired life, with my grandchildren and my new great grandson, who was born on my birthday in 2009!! I also like to garden, read, knit, play with my flowers and, last, but not least, spend time with my doggie, Bugzie, a sweet little Cocker Spaniel.
