I've been a Medical Assistant, Assistant Society Editor for Statesman Journal, owned my own manicuring business before retiring. I taught painting classes for almost 10 years. I am currently volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for Marion County.
I attended U of O before transferring to Western Oregon (then called OCE). I married Robert Pahl in 1967. We had our first child, Marci, in 1971 and our second daughter, Jennifer, in 1975. Our daughter Marci was killed in an auto accident in 1993 while a student at Western Oregon.
I worked various jobs before opening a manicuring business in 1993 and worked until retirement in 2001. I became a grandmother in 1997 and again in 1999. Bob and I divorced in 2005 and I bought my own home in NE Salem where I still reside. I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, opera and other performing arts, classical music and volunteering as a CASA which keeps me very busy and active. |
